Question #1: What is the very essence of God’s being? What is His wish for you?
Welcome to “God’s Wish For You” tract Bible study series! As you begin this study, here is a prayer for you:
“Dear Lord,
Please be with me and guide me as I read. Make Your will known to me and help me to know Your great love for me. Thank You, Lord Jesus! Amen.”
Here is the most revealing statement about God in the entire Bible:
“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.”
—1 John 4:7-8
The essence of God is indeed love, and because He loves us, He desires with great passion to save us for eternity. He would even send His Son to die for us. We are the crowning act of His creation. We are all children of the King! Jesus died for all of us and desires all to be promoted to eternal life.
These four studies will explain how much God loves us, why Jesus had to die on the cross to save humanity, and what we can do in response.
God wishes to bring us new life and a relationship with Him. He has the power and knowledge of how to do this. God, who made the Universe, Who creates wonders of nature, Who holds all power in His hand wants your friendship, your happiness, and your health. He has a plan to bring you there! It is already in place, and time is each minute hurtling us closer to a better world in Him–a partnership with God. It will happen if you can establish a relationship with Him, and if you will follow Him as Your God. He wants you to be His son or daughter. That was always His intention since Adam and Eve were created. But Adam and Eve sinned, and their birthright (paradise) was lost temporarily.
Sin, which is lawlessness, is what has afflicted Earth for millennia. It has vandalized God’s work and has marred His original plan for perfection. Sin has brought us sickness, crime, hatred, violence, and various changes in our planet. These changes have made our planet susceptible to earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, tornados, etc. Even some animals became vicious, attacking other animals. But God has a plan: the Universe will be restored to paradise in the end. Death will be destroyed, and sin will never again come into the Universe:
“Affliction will not rise up a second time.” -Nahum 1:9
What will be the end result? Well, if “sin is lawlessness” (1 John 3:4) and will be done away with, then it means the inhabitants of heaven will have perfect obedience to the law. Also….
“There shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
—Revelation 21:4.
There will be no loneliness, because God Himself will live with us and among us:
“And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God.” -Revelation 21:3.
This is God’s wish for us: for us to have God’s companionship, true family, complete healing, and total blessing, as well as eternal life!
In Jeremiah 29:11-13, God says,
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you… thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.”
God’s light will unceasingly illuminate our lives and darkness will flee. John of Patmos saw in his vision Jesus, the Lamb, as the Light of the heavenly city New Jerusalem:
“The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light.”
-Revelation 21:23. and…..
“There shall be no night there.” -Revelation 22:5
For a time we will live in the New Jerusalem City with the angels and God, but then God will do something so amazing and so wonderful, we will hardly believe our own eyes! Just as God created the Earth by speaking it into existence , our poor broken-down Earth will be renewed again by the word of the Lord! He will re-create it, before our eyes, into a beautiful paradise like the Garden of Eden. It is called “the New Heavens and the New Earth” by Isaiah in Isaiah 66:22. Here is a description:
“ ‘The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, the lion shall eat straw like the ox, and dust shall be the serpent’s food. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain,’ says the Lord.” —Isaiah 65:25.
“They shall not build and another inhabit; They shall not plant and another eat…..My people, and My elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.” -Isaiah 65:22.
“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” -1 Corinthians 2:9.
There is a great reward awaiting you for all you do for the Lord and His people! It is because of His awesome and unfathomable love for us. We have a future. We have a home. We have a family—the family of Abraham—we are joined into! But most of all, we have a God who loves us so much, He died for us on Calvary.
Amen! Would you be willing to learn more? This series will help you know what you can do to claim eternal life in paradise with God.
Say this prayer:
Dear Lord,
Thank You for Your holy Bible which reveals Your plan for humanity and Your great love. Thank You for Your love. Thank You for offering eternal life to me. I pray I will be in Your paradise with my loved ones. Help me to understand how I can be a part of Your great plan. Teach me, Lord Jesus, Your will for me. Amen.
Find out how this salvation can be made possible for you and what you can do to be a part of the New Heavens and the New Earth. Salvation is a partnership with God. In the next three studies, we will gain an understanding of God’s will for us and how it can be accomplished. The Lord is with you as you search! He is never far from your heart.
